International Master Course in Computer Science and Networking - University of Pisa and SSUP S. Anna

The International Master Course in Computer Science and Networking is a two-year Master Course starting at the end of September 2009 in Pisa.
The official language is English, all classes are taught in English, and the course is organized by the University of Pisa and the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna of Pisa, who jointly award the title at the end of the two years.
The Master is structured in traditional front lectures and in laboratory sessions and the program is divided in 4 semesters. The applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications. The number of students from EU is limited, and a selection based on the submitted curricula and on interviews (by teleconference) will be performed among the applicants.
The Master degree program has been designed to meet the growing demand for an professionals with expertise in both computer and information science and technologies, as well as in communication and networking science and technologies, in a strongly integrated manner. The aim is to for professionals capable to design and implement both innovative hardware-software distributed infrastructures and service-based distributed applications, in several areas of industry, e-business, research, social and citizen services, public administration.
CNR participates in organizing and teaching the courses within the Master, and XtreemOS will be used as a test case and a lab instrument for courses related to the Distributed Operating System and Parallel and Distributed Programming topics.
