The 40th Annual IEEE/IFIP International Conference on Dependable Systems and Networks (DSN 2010)
An Invitation From The DSN 2010 General Chair:
Our economic prosperity, global stability, and personal safety increasingly rely on the dependable and secure functioning of computer systems and communication networks. However, as the number and complexity of these systems grow, assuring availability, reliability, maintainability, and security in the presence of malicious attacks, accidental faults, design errors, and unexpected operating conditions is challenging. The solutions to these problems will necessarily draw upon over three decades of tradition in the field of dependable computing, but will also push the limits of our understanding and require substantial innovation and creativity.
DSN is the premier international conference for presenting the very best research results, problem solutions, and insight on new challenges facing the field of dependability and security. As in previous years, DSN 2010 will incorporate the Dependable Computing and Communications Symposium (DCCS) and the Performance and Dependability Symposium (PDS). DSN's schedule will include workshops and tutorials on the first day and a three day conference with parallel tracks that include full papers, a student forum, fast abstracts, and demonstrations of tools and technologies.
I would like to extend my personal invitation for you to participate in this premiere international conference. There are a number of different ways to contribute to the conference program as described on our Call for Contributions. But, whether or not you submit a contribution, we also welcome you as a participant. We are looking forward to see you in Chicago!
